Microsoft and Atom Computing will launch a commercial quantum computer in 2025
Microsoft and Atom Computing announce breakthrough in entangling 24 logical qubits using neutral atoms, plan to deliver commercial quantum computers next year.
Quantum Computing Advancements
The system can detect and repeatedly correct for the loss of neutral atoms that make up the physical qubits, a key challenge in this type of hardware.
The companies created 20 logical qubits from 80 physical qubits and successfully ran the Bernstein-Vazirani quantum algorithm, showing better performance than classical computers.
